Biography of the Artist
Fuxing Zhang
Born in 1950, Mr. Fuxing Zhang grew up in a beautiful watertown in southeast China. Since graduating from the Shanghai School of Fine Arts in the early 70's, his work has won prizes in major international and Chinese art competitions. He has been invited to exhibit his work in Germany, Italy, Holland, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. His paintings are widely collected, and can be found in the collections of the Shanghai Museum, the Hilton Hotel Arts Foundation, the Chen Xiang Mei Arts Foundation in Washington D.C., and Zeming Jiang, former president of China.
Mr. Zhang is a member of the China National Artists Association. He served as the chief editor of arts section of Wenhui Xinming United Group of the Press for twenty years. He is currently the associate dean of the Shanghai Huangpu College of Fine Arts and the owner of the Total Arts studio in Shanghai.
