----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vagabond Gallery was founded in 2002 in Bourne, Massachusetts by Michael Conti and Elizabeth Hottinger, both of whom are artists. The gallery remained on Cape Cod until August of 2004. After visiting Canandaigua a number of times, Michael and Elizabeth decided to move the gallery to central New York's Finger Lake region. The gallery's present home now resides in a flourishing artistic community on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in the country. Canandaigua is an exciting area for the arts and is growing quite rapidly with many art galleries, restaurants and coffee shops, and the (NEW) New York Wine and Culinary Center.

Elizabeth has decided to take time to fully persue her writing career while still maintaing the title of Graphic Design Manager/Web Master. She will be overseeing all advertising and graphic design needs for the gallery as well as maintaining and updating the web site. Expect a complete redesign soon.

Michael has assumed full ownership of Vagabond Gallery and is persuing many great new avenues for the gallery. His ongoing creative design of the space, his ability to select so many interesting artists, and his overall commitment to the gallery is nothing less than admirable. His own work is an ongoing exploration of the self, of the world around him, and has evolved deeply and continuously.

If you have any questions about any of the artists represented by Vagabond Gallery or are interested in showing YOUR own work, please do not hesitate to contact Michael directly. Expect to see a great many changes in the gallery's future!
